I diverge from the story repeatedly as I read Chapter 14 of Offworlder, a book I wrote in a month. Shirtless Henry gets woken up to do battle with raiders. Janey sleeps through a five hour carriage ride. A supposedly vicious fighter starts weeping. I lament the vague descriptions of magic in this book and wonder if lamb is a socially acceptable meat. Discussion questions wrap up a drinking-break-filled episode!
